Introducing children to the diverse elds of engineering, from infrastructure to biomedical, energy to electronics, civil to environmental and more! Using fun, practical, shared learning elements, inspirational engineers (such as your volunteers) will use transformational design-type approaches to engage children in a series of challenges that develop creative and critical thinking, collaborative problem solving, and communication skills in all participants.

The Programme is divided into 2 blocks :
5-Week Introduction to Engineering
A 5-lesson (5 hours approx) programme introducing the diverse !elds of engineering. Using fun, practical, shared learning elements this programme introduces engineering and engineers as problem solvers in all kinds of interesting !elds. We will use a child-friendly version of the engineering design process to engage the children in a series of design-build-test challenges that span multiple disciplines from infrastructure to biomedical engineering.
10-Week Introduction to Engineering
The context of STEAM’s 10-week Engineering-in-a-Box programme is that humans continue to address challenges in our lives, such as the need to create better forms of shelter for our families, designing more e cient and sustainable energy and heating systems, creating the infrastructure for services, communication, water and imagining better facilities and futures for our communities.
